Periodic Maintenance


All SHAHAR Driving Systems Ltd. mechanisms require minimal maintenance and servicing only. Notwithstanding, because it is safety issues that are in question, and because some disabled drivers hold on to the same vehicle for extended periods of even 10 years or more, and for the peace of mind of everyone involved, we require all customers to abide by the following maintenance requirements:

Periodic Maintenance is required after 2 years (24 months).

i.e. - Drivers that purchase a new vehicle every 3½ - 4 are required to perform one maintenance service sometime around the middle of the period. In the event of extended ownership beyond the initial 4 years, periodic maintenance is required every 2 years (24 months).

Off-road vehicles with a Full Hand Control which are often used for off-road driving, primarily in areas that are sandy and/or dusty by nature, are advised to perform periodic maintenance by SHAHAR Driving Systems Ltd. once a year (12 months).

All driving system types require no additional maintenance beyond that which is specified above. All maintenance services must be performed by qualified SHAHAR Driving Systems Ltd. technicians only.

The performance of maintenance services to any driving system by any person who is not explicitly authorized to do so is strictly prohibited. Greasing and/or lubrication of driving systems by any person who is not explicitly authorized to do so is strictly prohibited. The dismantling and/or opening of any driving system by any person who is not explicitly authorized to do so is strictly prohibited. All maintenance services provided under warranty are considered a part of the service agreement and are provided for no additional charge.
